The 7th Annual EOR Carbon Management Workshop – Houston, Texas
All Houston events are to be held at the Omni Hotel (OH) on Woodway just north of the Galleria Area of Houston.
Monday, December 7th
- 9:00 am - Workshop opens with a pre-workshop event directed by the UK Consulate’s Office in Houston
- 10:00 am - Texas Carbon Capture and Storage Association Open Public Meeting with a Board of Directors Meeting following.
- 12:00 noon - The 7th Annual EOR Carbon Management Workshop opens. The keynote luncheon talk will be given by Victor Carrillo, Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission.
- 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Technical Session I
- 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Evening Reception co-hosted by Denbury Resources and Kinder Morgan CO2 Company
Tuesday December 8th
- 8:00am - 12:00 noon - Technical Session II with a Keynote Luncheon Talk given by Dr. Scott Tinker, Director of the Texas Bureau of Economic Geology
- 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Technical Session III
- 5:00 pm - Workshop Ends

15th Annual CO2 Flooding Conference, Field Trip and Theme Sessions – Midland, Texas
Selected presentations from this year's Conference are now available for downloading.
Midland events are based at the Midland Center (MC) in downtown Midland unless noted.
Wednesday, December 9th – Field Trip [Please note that the field trip is sold out; see registration information on the home page regarding a waiting list.]
- 8:00 am - CO2 Flooding Conference activity opens with field trip to Kinder Morgan’s SACROC field and CO2 facilities in Scurry County, Texas. Registration is limited to 75 persons.
- 8:30 am - Busses depart.
Thursday, December 10th
- 8:00 am - 11:30 am CO2 Policy and Flood Operations Technical Session 1
- 11:45 am - 1:00 pm Luncheon and Keynote Speech (Speaker TBA)
- 1:15 am - 4:45 pm CO2 Flooding Technical Session 2
- 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm Evening Reception at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, 1500 W. I-20, Midland, Texas sponsored by the Permian Basin Section of the SPE.
Busses will be available at the MC for transportation to and from the Petroleum Museum. Departures begin at 5:10 pm from MC. Departures from Petroleum Museum will return to MC after the reception ends.
Friday, December 11th
- 8:00 am - 12:00 noon CO2 Flooding Technical Session 3
- 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm Light Lunch Available at the MC
- 1:00 pm Conference Ends
Air Travel between Houston and Midland
Airlines serving Midland to and from Houston are Continental (IAH, Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Regional) and Southwest (from Hobby in south Houston). American Eagle serves Midland from the Dallas Regional Airport (DFW).
Houston attendees should note that the Omni Hotel in west Houston is about equidistant from both Houston airports. Flights to/from Midland from Dallas, El Paso, Albuquerque and Phoenix are also available.
All Continental flights are the Brazilian Embraer jets and the Southwest flights are Boeing 737 jet service.
